In October, as is our annual tradition, all Aedifica teams took part in our group-wide Charity Challenge. Every employee is encouraged to do as much physical activity as possible. For every hour spent exercising, Aedifica donates a sum to a local charity chosen by each of our teams.
Aedifica’s UK team put a creative spin on the Charity Challenge concept and organised a walking and cycling tour along several of our care homes around London. It was the perfect opportunity to strengthen ties not only within the team, but also with our tenants and their residents.
Seeing our assets in person rather than from behind a desk gives us a fresh perspective and reminds us why we do what we do. It’s about connecting with the spaces and the people who make them thrive.
Bruce Walker – Country Lead UK & Ireland
Bruce, Nadiya and Paul visited several MMCG assets in South-West London, including Ashmead, Heritage, and Eltandia. In North London, Nayan and Michelle walked to MMCG’s Knights Court care home. Meanwhile, Richard took on a longer trek—covering 9 miles to visit Danforth’s Heath Lodge in Norfolk.
The response from tenants was inspiring. They welcomed the chance to walk us through the assets, share feedback, and support us raising money for The Care Workers Charity.
All the sports achievements of Aedifica’s UK team throughout October allowed the team to donate £5,000 to The Care Workers Charity.
