Aedifica team raises €16.500 for dementia research in group challenge

  • 90 participants
  • 2,514 hours of physical activity
  • €16,500 donated to charity

In 2024, Aedifica is focusing its support for charities on organisations fighting dementia. Throughout the year, our teams have been organising sporting activities to raise money for dementia research and organisations that support people and families affected by it.

In October, however, we took our support for charities to a new level by organising a big group-wide event where all our teams were challenged to move as much as possible…. for charity.

During our ‘October Challenge’, our staff could earn money for charity by making time for physical activities in their spare time. Every 15 minutes of exercise was rewarded, and when certain time thresholds were reached, additional amounts could be ‘unlocked’ – all for Leuven Brain Institute, a research centre fighting against dementia. In this way, everyone had the chance to not only improve their own health, but also make a positive contribution to society at the same time!

As many as 90 out of 125 employees have participated and collectively ‘moved’ more than 2,500 hours throughout October, generating an amount of €16,500 that we can donate to dementia research – an achievement we can be proud of!
